The earbuds are slightly larger than some competitors, but they’re well-balanced and comfortable. Each bud weighs about 7.7 grams, with a rounded, ergonomic shape that fits snugly in most ears. Included in the box are three sizes of stability bands and eartips, allowing users to mix and match for a secure seal. The buds are IPX4-rated for sweat and water resistance—ideal for workouts or rainy commutes.

The matte finish and sturdy charging case complete the premium feel. The case now supports wireless charging (in the newer hardware revision), as well as USB-C wired charging.

Audio & Noise Cancellation

Bose continues to lead the pack with its CustomTune technology, which uses a tone emitted upon insertion to analyze your ear canal and calibrate both active noise cancellation (ANC) and sound EQ. The ANC remains among the best in the market, effectively silencing everything from airplane engines to background chatter.

Sound quality is full, rich, and dynamic. The Immersive Audio mode—Bose’s version of spatial sound—adds depth and directional cues to music and video content. It creates a realistic soundstage, as if the music is coming from in front of you rather than inside your head. This works best with high-resolution audio and compatible platforms.

Battery & Connectivity

Battery life is solid: 6 hours of playback (reduced to about 4 hours with Immersive Audio on), and the charging case adds up to 24 hours total. A 20-minute quick charge gives roughly 2 hours of use. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.3, and unlike the QC Earbuds II, the Ultra model supports multipoint pairing, allowing you to stay connected to two devices simultaneously.
