The device features a striking 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with a 2360-by-1640 pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi), supporting over 3.7 million pixels. It offers a typical maximum brightness of 500 nits and includes True Tone technology, which adjusts the screen’s color and intensity to match the ambient light. The display uses IPS technology and has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. One notable difference from higher-end models is the lack of a fully laminated display, which can result in a slight air gap between the glass and the LCD.
The overall physical design is sleek, with uniform bezels and a shift from the traditional Lightning port to a universal USB-C port, which supports charging, DisplayPort, and USB 2.0 data transfer speeds (up to $480 \text{ Mb/s}$). It relocates the Touch ID sensor to the top button.
Performance and Storage
At the core of the iPad 10th Gen is the powerful A14 Bionic chip. This chip features a 6-core CPU (2 high-performance cores and 4 high-efficiency cores), a 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Based on Apple’s 5nm process, the A14 Bionic delivers a significant performance bump over the A13 Bionic in the previous generation, with single-core CPU performance gains of over 30% and multi-core gains of over 20% in some benchmarks. This ensures smooth operation for demanding tasks like 4K video editing, running graphics-intensive games, and seamless multitasking.

It also includes Bluetooth 5.2. The internal battery is a non-removable 28.6 watt-hour (Wh) lithium-polymer unit, advertised to provide up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video.
The iPad 10th Gen supports the Apple Pencil (1st generation), but requires the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter for pairing and charging. It also works with the dedicated Magic Keyboard Folio, which offers a comfortable typing experience and a built-in adjustable kickstand.
