Compact Design & Build

The standout feature of the Lark M2S is its minimalist design. Each transmitter (TX) weighs just 7 grams and is roughly the size of a coin. The titanium alloy clip design ensures durability and a secure fit on clothing while remaining discreet—ideal for use in weddings, interviews, and on-camera presentations.

The receivers come in multiple variants (USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm TRS) for wide compatibility across smartphones, DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and laptops. The Combo version includes all three receiver types, making it a versatile kit.

 Audio Performance

The Lark M2S uses 24-bit/48kHz audio resolution, providing clean and dynamic sound reproduction. It supports a dynamic range of 70 dB and can handle maximum SPL up to 116 dB, which makes it well-suited for both soft voices and louder environments like outdoor shoots or events.

It includes Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), an optional feature that helps reduce ambient background noise. This is particularly useful in uncontrolled environments, though some users note a slight alteration in vocal tonality when ENC is active. The omnidirectional microphones ensure reliable voice pickup, even if the mic isn’t aimed directly at the speaker’s mouth.

Wireless & Battery Features

The M2S uses a 2.4GHz adaptive frequency hopping transmission, offering a line-of-sight range up to 300 meters (984 feet). Indoors or in obstructed environments, the effective range may drop to 60–200 meters.

Each transmitter lasts up to 9 hours on a single charge, while the receiver runs slightly less. The included charging case can recharge the entire system up to twice, providing up to 30 hours of total use—perfect for a full day of shooting.

 App Support & Controls

The LarkSound mobile app allows users to monitor audio levels, switch between mono and stereo recording, and toggle ENC. The system pairs automatically on startup, making it very beginner-friendly. Gain controls and mute options are available directly on the receiver.
