At the heart of the Lark M2 are two ultra-light omnidirectional transmitters (TX) that weigh only 9 grams each. Designed to be barely noticeable on clothing, they come with both clip-on and magnetic mounting options, making them easy to attach securely while staying discreet on camera. The receivers (RX) come in multiple configurations — including USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm TRS — to ensure compatibility with smartphones, DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and laptops.

The system includes a compact charging case which doubles as a secure storage box and recharge hub. The case is lightweight, pocketable, and designed for fast recharging and transport — an essential for creators on the go.

Audio Quality

The Lark M2 delivers 24-bit/48 kHz high-resolution audio, which ensures clarity and depth in vocal recordings. It captures a wide dynamic range and handles SPLs (Sound Pressure Levels) up to 115 dB, which means even louder audio sources can be recorded without distortion. With a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) over 70 dB, the mic does an excellent job of isolating voices from ambient noise.

Its built-in Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) feature intelligently filters background sounds, such as traffic or wind. ENC can be toggled via physical buttons or controlled via the LarkSound mobile app, which also allows users to adjust gain levels, switch between mono and stereo, and monitor input levels in real time.

Transmission & Battery

Using 2.4 GHz adaptive frequency hopping technology, the Lark M2 offers a stable wireless connection with a range up to 300 meters in line-of-sight conditions. Indoors, it maintains a reliable connection over 60–100 meters.

Each transmitter lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge, with the receiver offering about 9 hours. The charging case adds two full recharges, offering up to 30–40 hours of total usage, depending on setup.
