Starlink Standard 4 X

Overview

The Starlink Standard 4 X is a satellite internet kit designed to provide high-speed internet connectivity for homes, businesses and other locations where reliable terrestrial broadband may be unavailable.

It uses an electronic phased-array antenna with software-assisted manual orientation, allowing the dish to connect to Starlink satellites without requiring a motorized self-orienting mechanism. The kit includes the Starlink antenna, kickstand, Router 3, power supply and required cables.

The included Router 3 provides Wi-Fi 6, tri-band 4×4 MU-MIMO networking, two Ethernet LAN ports and coverage of up to approximately 297 m².

High-speed satellite internet

Starlink provides internet connectivity through a network of low-Earth-orbit satellites.

For the Standard fixed service, Starlink currently lists expected download speeds of 25–100 Mbps, upload speeds of 5–10 Mbps and typical latency of 25–60ms. Actual performance varies depending on location, network conditions, service plan and time of day.

Electronic phased-array antenna

The Standard 4 X uses an electronic phased-array antenna with a 110° field of view.

Unlike the older Standard Actuated model, the Standard 4 X does not use a motor to automatically orient the dish. Initial alignment is assisted through the Starlink app, after which the system can track satellites electronically.

Wi-Fi 6 Router 3

The included Router 3 provides modern Wi-Fi connectivity using Wi-Fi 6 technology.

Ethernet connectivity

The Router 3 includes two latching Ethernet LAN ports, allowing wired networking for compatible computers, switches, access points and other network equipment.

This is useful for users who need a direct wired connection in addition to Wi-Fi.

Durable outdoor antenna

The Starlink antenna has an IP67 Type 4 environmental rating and is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C.

It is rated for operational wind speeds of 96 km/h or more and can melt snow at rates of up to 40mm per hour.
