Display and Design
The tablet retains the sleek, all-screen design of the previous generation, now featuring an 11-inch Liquid Retina display with a $2360 \times 1640$ resolution ($264$ ppi), $500$ nits of brightness, and True Tone technology. While the visual quality for streaming and general use is excellent, the display maintains a 60Hz refresh rate and is non-laminated. The non-laminated construction means there is a slight air gap between the glass and the display panel, which can create a different feel—especially when using the Apple Pencil (USB-C or 1st Generation)—and is less ideal for professional artists than fully laminated screens on the Air or Pro models.
Camera, Accessories, and Connectivity
The iPad is built with connectivity and video calls in mind. It features a 12MP Wide rear camera capable of $4\text{K}$ video recording. More importantly for most users, the 12MP Ultra Wide front camera is placed on the landscape edge and supports Center Stage, ensuring you are perfectly framed during video conferences. Power and data transfer are handled by a USB-C port, which supports external displays and drives. For accessories, it works with the Magic Keyboard Folio for a comfortable typing and trackpad experience.
