The 50S5K features a 50-inch QLED panel (Quantum Dot “Colorful Quantum Crystal”) that delivers a broader color spectrum and vibrant visuals. Although marketed as “2K,” the screen is actually Full HD (1920×1080) resolution, not 4K.
With support for HDR10 and HLG, the TV offers improved contrast and color clarity on supported content. The panel boasts an estimated 4000:1 contrast ratio, making dark scenes appear deeper and more detailed. Peak brightness is modest—around 300 nits—so HDR performance and glare control may be limited in very bright rooms.

 Smart Platform & Features

Operating on Google TV, the 50S5K provides access to major streaming apps, a personalized UI, built-in Google Cast, and voice control via the remote (Google Assistant). It also supports kid-safe profiles and scene modes like Game, Movie, and Sports.
Powered by the AiPQ quad-core processor, it offers real-time picture enhancements and upscaling to improve clarity on lower-resolution footage .

 Audio Performance
